January 2017

Hello 2017!!
Our year had a really rough start... Cal broke his leg on New Years morning which was no fun at all! Having two immobile boys made for a pretty uneventful and tricky month.. but we survived!

Gracee got married this month and had the most beautiful wedding.
It was so fun spending the weekend with our family!

We went to Mexico for a week with the Bradley family,
it's just what we needed to survive this depressing month!
80 degrees every day!

Cal swam all day everyday (so glad we were able to take his boot off!)

The ocean was crystal clear and the sand was so soft!

Win lived off sand + french fries for the week and was in heaven.

Our days consisted of pool, hot tub, beach, pina coladas, quesadillas and naps.
It was such a fun trip!

Winston turned my very favorite age this month, 9 MONTHS!!
He says "dada" all day long,
grew 4 top teeth all in one week (while we were in Mexico)
waves,
army crawls everywhere,
loves to Facetime anyone,
loves all of Calvin's toys,
obsessed with Calvin,
his favorite food is cut up green beans and he eats everything,
at the end of the month he had another ear infection and rsv.. seriously January was killer on all of us!
You would never of known he was sick, he is so easy going and happy all the time.

January was such a sad month for Calvin.
Every time we played with cousins and friends I could tell how sad he was that he couldn't run around and play like normal. He didn't take a single step all month long!
He spent a week and a half in a splint and then got a removable boot.
Thank goodness for the boot and baths because that splint got so stinky!
He had so many visitors the first few days, and was so spoiled with treats and presents it was like a second Christmas!
Having the broken leg made him so needy, we would basically come running every time he yelled for us. He slept terrible all month and i'm sure it's because of the dang boot!
We played a lot of games, watched a lot of shows, he did a lot of somersaults and scooted around.
Despite his "hurty foot" as he called it, he was still so sweet.
Cal says "I love you mom" (and dad) all day long and that makes me forget all about his tantrums and iPad fits!

2017 can only get better from here on out so we are looking forward to getting Cal's boot off and having our lives go back to normal!
