March 2016

Calvin was sick the whole week of his birthday. It broke my heart seeing him feel so sick, his fever lasted 6 days! We watched countless episodes of Daniel Tiger and took lots of naps together to help him feel better.

On his birthday we went to the zoo so he could ride the zebras (his favorite part about the zoo haha)
We got him a special Nemo cake- which he had been talking about for a few weeks.
Since he wasn't feeling 100% better we just had the Christensens and Nana and Dadu over for pizza (his favorite!!) and cake. He was so happy to have his cousins over and loved his cake but you could tell he just wasn't feeling that good.. poor kid.

He got a bubble gun, bubble machine and some more bubbles.. he is really into bubbles!! We gave him a strider bike, which he still hasn't gotten the hang of yet and a zoo pass so we can ride the zebras as much as he wants now! I love my TWO year old so much!

At his 2 year old check up he weighed 26.5 lbs (25%) and measured 36.5 in (90%)
The doc predicted that he will be 6'4" and thin... sound familiar??
Calvin was not a big fan of the doctor

We decided to take one last family ski day for the season.
We went to Deer Valley and it was such a beautiful, warm, sunny ski day!
We kept Cal in the backpack this time so we could do some actual skiing and he had such a fun time on daddy's back!

Calvin was a huge fan of Easter!
We went to the annual Blodgett Easter egg hunt.. Cal spotted the eggs in the back yard right when we got there and couldn't keep his eyes off them. It was so cute to watch him trek around the yard and collect eggs in his basket. The Easter Bunny did a little egg hunt for him at our house on Sunday too and he started eating candy at 8am.. best day ever in Cal's opinion!

Cal loves his weekly playdates with Junior

He also loves playing with his cousins!

Calvin asks at least once a week to go feed the ducks.
I'm not sure if he likes chasing the ducks or throwing sticks into the water better but we make weekly trips to Fairmont to visit his duck friends.

This month Cal started singing his ABCs, they always end with "now I know my ABCs, now I know my ABCs" he always seems to be singing something lately.
He loves to help do everything, especially if it involves tools, dad + fixing something.
Right before his bday we moved him into his big boy room and he loves it! He is sleeping SO good down there, I don't know why we didn't move him sooner!
Calvin's tantrums always end in him coming up to me and saying "I love you most Mom" with a hug on the leg or a pat on my back.. he knows how to keep me wrapped around his little finger and I sure love him!
