October 2016

We celebrated Halloween for 5 days straight!
(and I was SO glad when it was over!)
Cal's playgroup had a party, we had our ward party, friend party, party at Nana's and then on Halloween day we went to Owen and Cooper's parade, trick or treated at Goldman, and trick or treated around the neighborhood. I'm still not sure if Calvin liked answering our door for trick-or-treaters or going trick-or-treating more, he got so excited every time someone came to our door! He made sure to ask for a piece of candy for "Robin" at every stop, what a sweet big brother ;) Candy is his favorite so he was on a sugar high all month and loved every second of it.

Winston turned 6 months old this month!
16.25 lbs 28% and 27 in. 72%
He found his tongue and loves to stick it out, especially when he gets excited!
He has started rolling all over the place, loves to eat baby food and big brother loves to feed him. He sleeps on his tummy all night long now and makes me smile all day!

Calvin... or should I say Batman... dressed up almost every day this month and loved to save us from everything. He loves riding his bike to Mav for treats.
He insists on having a sip of my diet coke every day, & I give in because its not worth a melt down!
He is really into sticker charts and will do almost any "job" I ask him to as long as he can earn a sticker, he feeds Enzo every day and is a pro at unloading the utensils.
The cutest thing I heard him say this month "Win were going to be best friends forever"
I love watching their relationship!
Everyone loves Cal's raspy voice, I hope it stays this way forever!

fun times at "corns n bellies" as Cal called it haha

My favorite time of day, and something I never want to forget is the way both boys fall asleep on me at the same time for nap time. I feed Win and Cal snuggles on the chair with us and both drift off to sleep on me. I love them both so much and feel so lucky to be their mom!

September 2016

The best part about September was our trip to Laguna Beach!
Even though Calvin has been on 20 something flights before, this was like the first to him and he was so excited! He was pretty much excited about everything after that too..
We went back and forth from the beach to the pool all day long,
we caught sand crabs, built sandcastles, looked for shells and had so much fun playing in the waves.
On our last night there Calvin said "I wish we could stay here forever".
It was a pretty perfect trip.
(minus the fact that having both boys sleep in the same room as us = not much sleep!)
We got home late at night and Cal was so tired but most excited about the bus we got to ride to our car at the airport, he sang the wheels on the bus the whole time and had everyone around us laughing.

Nothing's better than a family beach trip and we can't wait to go back next summer!

Calvin loves his bike, thinks playgroup is pretty cool, loves going to the library to checkout books, has become so brave at the playground- climbs up and slides down anything!
He loves making special visits to grandma Carol.
He jumps off everything,
insists on wearing socks to bed every night,
always asks for me to "sing twinkle and hold me like baby" before bed,
he assumes any time I'm about to feed Winston that he gets to play on the iPad,
tells me that he misses me and loves me all day long- he is the sweetest.
Having him potty trained makes him seem so grown up!

Winston turned FIVE months at the beach! FIVE months... I can't even believe it!
He rolls back and forth,
chews his fingers, toes, toys and pretty much anything he can get into his mouth.
He started solids this month and again, is a big fan of anything he can get into his mouth!
Our good sleeper is long gone :( Hopefully he will return again one night but Winston has been waking up during the night again. It's hard to be mad at him though because he is such a happy little guy. His eyes are always on Cal, he sure loves his big brother!

Having Eric gone at school is hard. We are surviving but it's tough with out him!
We just really miss him and love every second that he is home on the weekends!
