December was by far my favorite month this year!
Christmas time with Calvin was just so magical
We started off the month by picking out our Christmas tree
(which Cal loved + loved to rearrange the lights and ornaments all month)
we got a special house guest named Elfie
Calvin became obsessed with Elfie and would say "move Elfie" all day long...
and then on days when Elfie would actually move to a new spot Cal would get mad at him haha
Calvin LOVES trains + was so excited to ride trax down to the Temple to see the lights
we picked the perfect warm night and had a great time with my family at Temple Square
Cal was super excited to meet Santa this year - big improvement from last year!
he surprisingly ran right up to him and climbed up on his lap
he told him he wanted a yellow balloon for Christmas
(which stayed consistent all month long when ever anyone
asked him what he wanted from Santa)
Santa gave him a candy and Cal even said thank you with out me reminding him to!
we got a few huge snow storms in the middle of the month
Cal and I spent lots of time playing in the snow and he loved it!
he really loved to eat it
we went sledding around the neighborhood + Cal just loved it!
he also loved breaking all the icicles off our house + eating them
I'm so glad he loves being in the snow as much as Eric and I do!
we did Christmas Eve at Joy's with all the Blodgett siblings and Bradley's
it was such a big crew and Calvin had so much fun with all the cousins
The look on Calvin's face on Christmas morning is something I will never forget.
When he saw the yellow balloon his face lit up and he said Santa yellow balloon!!!
we had to encourage him to open up his presents to see what else Santa brought him
because he was just so excited about the balloons
it was the most perfect Christmas morning I could ever imagine-
it even snowed all day!
we went to Lynn's on Christmas morning
and then had my family over for Christmas dinner
Calvin made this the best Christmas ever, I wish every day was Christmas!
we spent the day after Christmas at the Jenkins cabin in Midway
we rode in the snowcat, played games with the cousins, went sledding, drank hot chocolate and Cal's favorite part was riding on the snowmobiles
every time Eric would stop Cal would say again! again!
it was close to 0 degrees all day but that didn't bother Cal one bit
Calvin is becoming such a big boy these days!
he got his 2 year old molars
he counts up to 9
he knows all his colors and his favorite is yellow
he loves to color +do stickers + play dough
he sings a lot ...
head shoulders knees + toes, heres a ball for baby, twinkle, sunbeam song, once there was a snowman and up on the house top haha he yells all the important words
he feeds Enzo morning and night
and even helps unload the utensils from the dishwasher
he helps us remember to say the prayer at dinner
and he went poop on the potty once this month! he's very interested in the potty but I am not ready to potty train him yet.. that can wait
he makes our life so much fun!
I can't see what he learns and teaches us in 2016
I have a feeling its going to be a good year!
