September 2016

The best part about September was our trip to Laguna Beach!
Even though Calvin has been on 20 something flights before, this was like the first to him and he was so excited! He was pretty much excited about everything after that too..
We went back and forth from the beach to the pool all day long,
we caught sand crabs, built sandcastles, looked for shells and had so much fun playing in the waves.
On our last night there Calvin said "I wish we could stay here forever".
It was a pretty perfect trip.
(minus the fact that having both boys sleep in the same room as us = not much sleep!)
We got home late at night and Cal was so tired but most excited about the bus we got to ride to our car at the airport, he sang the wheels on the bus the whole time and had everyone around us laughing.

Nothing's better than a family beach trip and we can't wait to go back next summer!

Calvin loves his bike, thinks playgroup is pretty cool, loves going to the library to checkout books, has become so brave at the playground- climbs up and slides down anything!
He loves making special visits to grandma Carol.
He jumps off everything,
insists on wearing socks to bed every night,
always asks for me to "sing twinkle and hold me like baby" before bed,
he assumes any time I'm about to feed Winston that he gets to play on the iPad,
tells me that he misses me and loves me all day long- he is the sweetest.
Having him potty trained makes him seem so grown up!

Winston turned FIVE months at the beach! FIVE months... I can't even believe it!
He rolls back and forth,
chews his fingers, toes, toys and pretty much anything he can get into his mouth.
He started solids this month and again, is a big fan of anything he can get into his mouth!
Our good sleeper is long gone :( Hopefully he will return again one night but Winston has been waking up during the night again. It's hard to be mad at him though because he is such a happy little guy. His eyes are always on Cal, he sure loves his big brother!

Having Eric gone at school is hard. We are surviving but it's tough with out him!
We just really miss him and love every second that he is home on the weekends!
